                                                          What is Special Olympics?

​Special Olympics Indiana - Elkhart County Program is a wonderful place for individuals to participate in year round sports training & competition.  It helps over 175 Athletes with intellectual disabilities develop fitness, build skills, learn & demonstrate courage, experience the joy of success & belonging, become involved in the community, build lasting friendships & improve self-esteem.

            Athlete Eligibilty 
If the Athlete...
   - is @ least 8 years of age
   - has an IEP
   - receives Special Education services 
   - has a diagnosis of severe LD, MIMH, MOMH, SEMH, lower-functioning Autism, or a profound handicap
then this individual may be eligible for Special Olympics.
